- Test the prototype with a small group of stakeholders to understand its feasibility and potential impacts.
Gathering feedback on prototypes is vital for design success. To effectively collect feedback, tailor your approach based on the prototype’s form, like conducting in-person tests for paper interfaces. Present multiple prototype versions to encourage candid feedback, and use structured methods like “I Like, I Wish, What If” for constructive criticism. Test prototypes with the right users, including extreme users, to uncover diverse insights and consider cultural differences for international products. Engage stakeholders like manufacturers for practicality. Ask focused questions but remain open to unexpected insights. Present ideas neutrally without selling them, and be open to changing your prototype based on feedback. Encourage participants to suggest improvements, turning their questions into a dialogue for deeper understanding.
