Create a problem statement

• Create a clear and concise statement that describes the problem and its objectives. This can help to understand the problem and provide a clear direction for solving it.

A problem statement worthy of research articulates a current issue encountered by researchers and/or practitioners that lacks sufficient solutions. It justifies its significance through robust, peer-reviewed evidence and a solid theoretical basis. Such a statement should comprehensively answer six critical questions: what the issue is, how it occurs, where it’s found, when it happens, why it’s important, and who it affects. Conversely, a statement of the problem is a concise one or two-sentence assertion that highlights the specific problem being tackled by the research.
